China Day 2

So the kind people from the AST and the Chinese government( jo and Li) had set up a sight seeing tour at the Great Wall of China!

It was not the best of days in terms of weather but, the mere fact that we were going to see on of the worlds biggest landmarks made this trip amazing.

Its overwhelming how much work was put into building the Great Wall, generations of familys gave themselves up to build this 5,660 kilometre wall, which starts from the banks of the Yalu river in the east and heads towards the Qilian and Tianshan mountains in the west.

We went to the Badaling section of the wall, its the best preserved part and measures 7.8 metres high, 6.5 metres thick and 5.8 metres wide.

It was an amazing day and I thank everyone involved in getting us there, it was an honor to see such an amazing piece of Chinese history.
