Its never much fun the day after a good slam, you are sore, stiff and in no mood to do anything, so what better time to go shopping around shanghai!
We met Yifu downtown, and he took us to all the hot spots, morgan, Oscar, Logo and Ron had all left to go back home, which allowed me and Will to hit the markets and take our street haggling skills to another level.
Whilst in downtown Shanghai we stopped by the Nike ID store, it was very impressive, especially the Nike ID Lab, pretty cool what you can do in there.
The trip to Shanghai was great, we were very lucky to have Yifu spend his time with us, and it was cool to see how Shanghai goes about its business on a daily basis.
After saying our goodbyes to Shanghai, we headed back to Bejing to get our connecting flights back home, you can definitely tell the differences between the 2 cities, for a start it was back to getting heavily ripped off by the Taxis!
I enjoyed this trip for many reasons the Culture, the history and the riding was amazing, we met some great people on this trip and it was fun hanging out with Will and Morgan.
As a parting gift to myself, I left my laptop on a random seat at the opposite end of the airport, I only noticed when I put my camera back in my back, then I sprinted across the airport with a 40lb backpack, the gods must have liked me that day, as it was still there, Phew! Talk about panic!
And that was it! sweating like I had just finished an Ironman, stocked up with duty free and some Olympic goodies for Sam, and just got upgraded!
Thank you!
Jamie
P.S after we returned home, devastating events rocked China, and thousands perished from a large earthquake.
It is a terrible tragedy, and my thoughts go out to friends whose family and relatives involved in this.
