So I turned up a few days earlier for the Dew Tour in Salt lake, for some Motorbike racing!
With the help of Ogio and Alpinestars, I had a spot in the Freddie Spencer Race school held at Miller Motorsports in Utah.

If you have never done anything like this before I strongly recommend it, as it was a life changing experience, I have driven cars before, but Motorbikes are my Passion and to experience them in this way was awesome!
I had two full days at the school ,our instructors Ken an Nick were great, and we had a good group of guys in the classes. On the second day my body position really started to work for me and I felt like a racing God! its just incredible how you keep wanting to go faster and faster on every straight and into every turn.
I am definitely addicted to race schools now!
MTV followed me around for the Contender show, so it got a little hectic , but it turned out great, Chad Kagy and Jeremy McGrath had a great time at the school too, so much in fact that Chad decided to smash his bike up after a high side crash! Brilliant!

Anyhow a big thanks to all those who made it possible for us to behave like small kids on grown up bikes, quite the role reversal!
So to the Dew Tour, After you have taken a race school for a few days you walk like a Cowboy as you are so sore form the positions you have been in all day that it makes anything else quite the task!
But, we still had to ride Vert Finals and get used to a BMX bike again.
The contest was another great one between me and Chad, I was unlucky enough to have someone stretch my back to far, so it made it a difficult night for me, but I hung on for the win, the podium looked like we had all just come from a funeral, I have never seen so many sad faces, Ha Ha!
On the bright side, Mike Aitken Won dirt with good old fashioned BMX riding, Good job Mike!
Thanks again to everyone who made it a great week!
I Love SLC its always a good time!
Jamie ” Knee down on both sides and my boots too!” Bestwick

Me and these Canadians got into a right old race in the final session, right here I am telling him how easy it was to get past him! Yeah right!
